UPS (NYSE:UPS) has become the only package delivery company named to this year's "100 Best Corporate Citizens" list by Corporate Responsibility magazine.

Known as one of the world's top corporate responsibility rankings, the annual list is comprised of Russell 1000 companies that have been evaluated on their performance in seven key areas: Environment, Climate Change, Human Rights, Philanthropy, Employee Relations, Financial Performance and Governance.

UPS was ranked No. 46 on the 2010 list and was cited particularly for its record in the areas of Environment, Climate Change and Governance.

"We are truly honored by this recognition because it reflects our continued efforts to be transparent," said Bob Stoffel, UPS senior vice president of supply chain, strategy, engineering and sustainability. "We strongly believe that environmental performance, stakeholder engagement and investments in the communities where we operate are essential to our business strategy."

UPS has received a number of other honors for its sustainability efforts, most recently being rated the "World's Most Admired" company in the delivery industry and ranked No. 1 in the world for its commitment to social responsibility.
