MEMPHIS, Tenn.-- FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, today announced the appointment of Gerald P. Leary as regional president, FedEx Express, Europe, Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa (EMEA). Leary will succeed Robert W. Elliott, who is retiring from FedEx Express. Leary will be based at the company's European headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. 

A seasoned leader, Leary joined the Federal Express Corporation in 1974, and has served in a number of key management roles at both FedEx Express and FedEx Trade Networks. In his current position at FedEx Express, Leary serves as senior vice president, European Operations. In his new role, Leary will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of FedEx Express EMEA.
