RALEIGH, NC, October 28, 2010 — Tim Pyne has joined Tompkins Associates as Vice President of Retail, Consumer & Food. 

“Tim has come on board to help our retail, consumer products, and food and beverage clients meet their supply chain and organizational goals,” says Jim Tompkins, President and CEO. “We have focused on these industries for decades, but as ‘supply chain’ becomes more of a hot topic in boardrooms around the world, we want to ensure that these companies are aware of the resources available to maximize their supply chains.”

Pyne’s expertise includes domestic and international supply chain management, operations, transportation and logistics. He has worked on engagements with clients such as Procter & Gamble, Kellogg’s, General Mills, Hershey’s, Walmart, and Safeway.

Prior to joining Tompkins, he held an array of supply chain and logistics positions, including: Vice President HBC Logistics, Hudson’s Bay Company; Vice President National Logistics, Sobeys; Senior Director Operations Canada, Exel; and Vice President and General Manager, Tibbett & Britten Group. He has also served as the Director of Distribution, Lumsden Brothers Ltd. and Oshawa Foods Ltd.

A graduate of Algonquin College, Pyne is a member of the Supply Chain and Logistics Canada (SCL) association. His office is based at the Tompkins Associates’ headquarters in Raleigh, NC.
