Atlanta, GA (February 13, 2017) — Global supply chain consulting firm Chainalytics today announced that it has added a Parcel Spend Optimization service to build out its comprehensive supply chain competency for clients. “This expanded service combines Chainalytics’ transportation market intelligence and proven methodologies to ensure our clients maintain their competitive advantage in an increasingly complex, volatile and global transportation environment,” explained Chainalytics Transportation Vice President Kevin Zweier. “It’s designed to ensure clients reduce their costs, improve service levels, negotiate better pricing agreements and generate significant cost savings across their ground, domestic air and international air parcel spend.”

Many Chainalytics clients face unique shipping pressures due to e-commerce consumer demand, which consulting firms Accenture Research and Transport Intelligence have projected will grow by 9 percent annually between 2008 and 2020, when the courier express parcel market size will hit $343.1 billion globally.

According to Chainalytics’ Senior Manager Jim Haller, who is leading the Parcel Spend Optimization offering, the new service will draw on Chainalytics’ spend management expertise to help clients achieve 8-15 percent on their parcel spend. “We now offer clients the opportunity to achieve savings by developing a strategy for optimizing rates and terms to reduce costs, refreshing carrier mix or consolidating carriers and agreements for volume and/or route leverage, administrative efficiency and consistency,” Haller concluded.
