Dresden, December 20, 2007 KSW Microtec AG, one of the worlds leading suppliers of RFID components, has named Thomas Hitzer as CEO. In his new position, Thomas Hitzer will broaden KSWs already extensive RFID product and service portfolio and significantly extend the companys sales and marketing activities in both the active and passive RFID segments. His profound understanding of the RFID sector will strengthen KSWs ability to innovate and optimize todays RFID components.

 

With 15 years of activity in the RFID market, Thomas Hitzer is one of the most experienced and well-connected managers in the sector. We are very proud to have attracted him to KSW, commented Christiane Bednarek, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board at KSW. With his expertise and connections, Thomas will be a driving force for our future growth, enabling KSW to further build up its leading position in the field of HF and UHF RFID applications.

 

Thomas Hitzer joined KSW on July 1, 2007 with responsibility for sales, business development, marketing, strategic corporate development and product development. Prior to this, he was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sokymat, a leading global supplier of RFID transponders.
