Continuing to build on a nearly eight-year partnership with Escalate, Newgistics’ announcement of its tiered pricing capabilities within Ecometry extends the value that each company delivers to its mutual customers. 

Tiered pricing brings direct-to-consumer retailers a new level of pricing control for customer returns, while leveraging the convenience and ease of use of the United States Postal Service® network. Rather than establishing a single, pre-determined price charged for the use of Newgistics’ SmartLabel, merchants can create multiple price points based upon the characteristics of the return shipment. For example, they can charge the consumer a lower price for the use of the label when returning a blouse vs. two pairs of shoes, which are heavier, bulkier and more costly to ship.

Through the introduction of this new capability, merchants now have the ability to provide levels of service that previously required custom development efforts. Depending on the number and types of consumer returns received, this feature could mean incremental savings and income of hundreds of thousands of dollars annually for companies that implement the service within Ecometry. At the same time, merchants will benefit from the industry-leading service and support for which Newgistics is recognized.
