Conformer Expansion Products offers patented mailers that execute a simple idea: create a flat envelope that expands to fit thicker contents using no more material than is necessary. The U.S. Postal Service restructured rates in May 2007. The new shape-based system reflects the fact that different types of mail incur different handling costs. Before May, a 3 oz. Letter, Flat, and Parcel all cost $0.87 to mail. Today, that same 3 oz Letter, Flat, and Parcel will cost $0.82, $1.02, $1.40 respectively. Conformer Expansion Products can reduce postage costs by downsizing flats to letters and parcels to flats.
