Journal of Commerce--YRC Worldwide subsidiary Reddaway is speeding shipments in the West, launching a next-day service linking Las Vegas with cities in Northern California.
The regional less-than-truckload carrier said Tuesday it will offer overnight service from Las Vegas to Oakland, Sacramento, San Jose and Stockton, Calif. Leaner inventories and fast-paced replenishment programs are increasing demand for next-day services, and LTL carriers such as Reddaway are running faster.
