WASHINGTON, D.C., Jan. 13, 2014 -- Two of the logistics industry’s premium Fall events will be co-located in 2014. The Customized Logistics and Delivery Association will combine its annual Fall Forum with the PARCEL Forum, the industry's leading educational event for parcel shipping, distribution and logistics professionals. The combined event, PARCEL Forum 14, will be held on September 29 to October 1 at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas.
“This is an exciting development for our members and for those who attend the PARCEL Forum," said Rob Johnstone, president of CLDA.
“As a presenter at last year's PARCEL Forum, I realized just how helpful the cross-pollination between the two groups could be. By holding the two meetings simultaneously, our members can meet shippers who may need their services and learn about the issues facing them."
At the same time, those who attend the PARCEL Forum can learn more about ways that regional carriers can help them better meet the needs of their customers."
Those who attend the joint PARCEL Forum event will have access to all six educational tracks, all exhibitors, meals and receptions. CLDA will present one of the six tracks on transportation, packaging and warehousing.
“Members of the CLDA have been involved with PARCEL Forum for many years as exhibitors, presenters and attendees.
They have been particularly involved over the past five years as exhibitors in our Regional Carrier Pavilion, where they make valuable contacts with shippers. It’s
a natural synergy to have the two meetings at the same time and location. Everyone wins," says Joel Dunkel, President of EventEvolution, which produces PARCEL Forum.
PARCEL Forum has been an influential annual conference and exposition for the parcel shipping, distribution and logistics industry since 2003. It provides the opportunity for those in the industry to learn about industry trends, meet influential members in the business and learn about the latest products and services.
The 2013 show attracted over 500 attendees to the conference and exhibition hall, which featured over 80 exhibitors showcasing products and services in more than 10,000 square feet.
Reservations for exhibition space are currently available. Registration to attend the event will open on May 22nd. For more information about exhibiting, sponsoring
