Piscataway, New Jersey , October 26, 2009 – The Rutgers Center for Innovative Ventures of Emerging Technologies (CIVET), together with RFID TagSource, announce the launch of the new Rutgers University RFID Research Center. The center is located on the Rutgers Busch Campus in Piscataway, New Jersey.
The newly established Research Center combines laboratory facilities with real world insight into how RFID is being utilized across the globe to provide real business value. The center will also be used to host industry seminars and executive forums, continuing education classes, and independent research projects to support industry, government, and department of defense RFID initiatives.
“We have been working with the Rutgers CIVET team for several months providing technical resources, industry insight, and guidance on research projects and service offerings,” said Kevin Donahue, Managing Director of RFID TagSource and Chairmen of the RFID Research Center advisory board. As a Rutgers graduate I am proud to be associated with the CIVIT team and supporting their initiatives.”
“Rutgers is recognized as a leading national public research university,” said Francois Berthiaume, Rutgers CIVET Research Coordinator. We are really excited about the value the RFID Research Center will bring to Rutgers community and our industry, government, and defense research partners.”
