The Atlanta Business Chronicle has reported that "United Parcel Service Inc. bought 130 next generation hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) for an undisclosed price. The Atlanta-based package shipper said 30 will be used in New York and 100 will be put to work in California. It estimated the HEVs will save 66,085 gallons of fuel and 671 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually, representing a 35 percent improvement in fuel economy.
