Journal of Commerce--Truckload demand is rising although it is still below its peak of mid-June, and capacity remains tight on the West Coast, according to Longbow Research.

The investment research firm's weekly truckload barometer rose 6.8 percent Oct. 6 to a reading of 102.8, its second consecutive week-over-week increase.

That could be a sign that trucking companies will see a fall pre-holiday peak season. A large truckload carrier told The Journal of Commerce imports remain strong. Read the full story!
