NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (March 25, 2014) – Registration is open for the 7th Annual Supply Chain Management Summit (SCMS), which will be held on Thursday, August 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I. 

The SCMS brings together executives, business owners, supply chain experts and professionals to learn about leading supply chain strategies and practices as well as to network with colleagues.

Informational and educational sessions will include topics such as managing a global supply chain; security; warehouse management system technology; ISO certification and other supply chain/logistics topics relevant to supply chain management professionals in the manufacturing, healthcare, consumer product goods, retail, wholesale, and logistics industries.

The summit qualifies for six continuing educational hours for certification and recertification to Institute for Supply Management’s Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (APP) designations.
Through May 14, 2014, the registration fee is $125.00 for an individual ticket which includes breakfast and lunch. The Supply Chain Management Summit was established in 2008 when Banneker Industries, in partnership with the John H. Chafee Center for International Business at Bryant University, Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, Rhode Island Manufacturing Extension Service, and Institute for Supply Management Greater Rhode Island set out to educate businesses about supply chain management.
