ATLANTA, Oct. 24, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Supply Chain Commerce Solutions provider Manhattan Associates, Inc. (Nasdaq:MANH) today announced that for the seventh year it has been named a leader in the
2014 Gartner, Inc. Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems.
Gartner, the world's leading information technology research and advisory company, evaluated 18 Warehouse Management System (WMS) offerings in its Magic Quadrant research. Manhattan Associates is positioned the furthest in both axes of measurement: completeness of vision to the WMS market and the vendor's ability to execute on that vision.
Two points of emphasis in Gartner's 2014 Magic Quadrant evaluation were Supply Chain Execution (SCE) convergence and User Experience. Speaking to the increased importance of Supply Chain Execution as a factor, Gartner Analyst Dwight Klappich wrote, "True SCE convergence is when a vendor has developed multiple SCE and related functions on a common technical architecture that shares a UI, data model and business logic, and this is only obtainable from a small number of WMS vendors today."
Continuing to elaborate on the heightened role of customer experience in this year's evaluation, Klappich stated, "In this year's Magic Quadrant, one of the notable areas of differentiation between vendors is user experience, and given customer interest, this has received more consideration in the evaluation of offerings."
"We believe that our enduring leadership position in this Magic Quadrant is reflective of our relentless focus on the customer, investment in innovation and the strong execution of our platform strategy for true supply chain convergence," said Manhattan Associates Chief Executive Officer Eddie Capel. "Our Warehouse Management Solutions set the standard in the market for innovation and product quality. We believe our strength in WMS, coupled with our other industry-leading supply chain commerce solutions, creates exceptional value each day for our customers around the world."
