In 2015, Woolcool will sponsor the Greenstar Sustainable Award and Material Innovation categories of the Starpack Awards.
Woolcool insulated packaging is produced using 100% pure wool, providing a superior cold chain distribution solution for perishable foodstuffs and temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals that exceeds the strict performance criteria of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) legislation worldwide. Woolcool products are made from sustainable, compostable, recyclable and recycled materials.
Woolcool has led the way for sustainable thinking in the packaging industry from its inception in 2009. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength. Woolcool boasts numerous awards, including a Starpack Award and a Major Commendation in the BCE Environmental Leadership Awards, as well as serving big-name clients, such as Abel & Cole in organic food delivery service and Henry Schein, a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical wholesaler.
When asked why Woolcool had chosen to be involved with Starpack, founder Angela Morris said, “My long career in packaging design and development, particularly in association with the Packaging Society, has meant that I am passionate about innovation in packaging and especially in support of using natural and sustainable materials.”
Woolcool’s commitment to producing sustainable packaging from waste makes the company a perfect partner for the Greenstar Sustainable Award and Material Innovation in the
Starpack Awards.
Previous winners of these categories include Logoplaste and Ardagh Group.
There's still time to enter the Starpack Industry Awards, deadline 3 July 2015.
