MEMPHIS, Tenn.: FedEx Corp. and the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation today kicked off their annual "Trees for Troops"
program in Columbus, Ohio, with the pickup of 300 trees to be delivered to activated service members and their families
stationed overseas. In the coming weeks, tree growers, retailers and FedEx Corp. will be donating and delivering
approximately 20,000 trees to more than 35 bases in the United States and overseas.

"We are pleased to once again be a part of this worthwhile program that will benefit the men and women serving in the Armed
Forces and their families," said Douglas G. Duncan, president and chief executive officer, FedEx Freight. "FedEx is
committed to supporting our employees and the communities in which we live and work during the holidays and throughout
    the year."

National Christmas Tree Association (NCTA) members will donate the trees, while FedEx Corp. is donating transportation and logistical
services to the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation, the NCTA's philanthropic branch.

The popular program has grown rapidly since its inception in 2005, when 4,300 trees were delivered to troops and military
families in the U.S. and overseas. Last year, FedEx Express and FedEx Freight donatedall transportation and logistical
services to collect and deliver almost 12,000 trees to 25 military bases. This year, the public will have opportunities to
participate by purchasing trees for sale at 40 retail locations nationally.

In addition to domestic deliveries, an international shipment will depart from the FedEx Express hub in Indianapolis on Nov. 28
for service members stationed abroad. Trees for Troops is a part of FedEx Special Delivery, a nationwide program that
provides transportation and logistical assistance forcommunity and non-profit organizations.
