Toronto, ON. Farrow announced today they have acquired a controlling interest in National Logistics Services (NLS), of Toronto Ontario.
Established in 1967 NLS is Canada’s leading retail logistics provider specializing in fashion apparel, footwear, accessories and lifestyle wear.
Chairman and C.E.O Richard Farrow, issued the following statement to employees of both organizations:
This acquisition is a significant strategic development for Farrow. It extends our reach into new markets, while doing so in a measured and prudent manner owing to the expertise we’re acquiring with NLS. This exciting development will enable Farrow to better serve our customers while leveraging our service offerings with that of NLS, and provide a comprehensive Logistics service to clients throughout North America and beyond. Our companies share a common corporate culture with our employees, customer service and social responsibility to support humanitarian and environmental initiatives.
NLS will continue to operate as a separate corporation with their current executive management team under the leadership of President Peter Reaume. Both Peter and previous owner Michael Andlauer will remain as minority owners of NLS.
Peter Reaume, President, NLS, said in a statement:
We’re pleased and excited to announce that Farrow has acquired a controlling interest in NLS. This means our valued clients will now have enhanced services and capabilities, including: customs brokerage, freight forwarding and a significantly broadened domestic transportation offering. All this, as well as the many opportunities this now provides for our employees makes us proud of this next step in the evolution of NLS and Farrow.
