, TennesseeOzburn-Hessey Logistics named Michael "Mick" Fountain as President and CEO of newly acquired Barthco International. Fountain will assume responsibility for all Barthco customs brokerage operations, inbound and outbound consulting services and building a strong global freight management business for OH Logistics. He will be responsible for freight management acquisitions and OH Logistics' continued acquisition and integration efforts.

     

    Fountain, a 36-year veteran of the global logistics industry, started his career with Lep Air Services in the UK, moving to Jardine Air Cargo to run their GatwickAirport freight and charter broker operations, later taking over their Midlands region. He moved to the US in 1982 and was part of a small team that started Jardine Air Cargo in the U.S. Following the purchase of Jardine Air Cargo by MSAS, Fountain assumed various management positions including President of US Operations, CEO Americas and CEO Americas/Pacific. When MSAS merged with Exel, Fountain was promoted to CEO Global Freight Management and Technology for the combined operations of MSAS and Exel. Soon after this he was appointed as an Executive to Exel PLC's Board and served in this capacity until Deutsche Post acquired the company.
