GLENWOOD, Illinois--The appointment of John Byrne as chief executive officer of ConData, Inc. has been announced by Jerry Ragsdell, chairman.

"As ConData continues to grow in its domestic markets, and as we expand into European markets, we are fortunate to have John's strong management experience added to our team," Ragsdell said.

Byrne, who most recently served as vice president and general manager for Underwriters Laboratories (UL), will be responsible for day-to-day management of ConData. Prior to joining UL, Byrne founded Integral Sciences, where he held the titles of president and CEO for almost 10 years before selling the company to Intertek in 1999.
